Getting started is easy. Just download the installer package that matches your operating system (Windows or macOS) and run it to begin installation.
The configuration window allows you to manage your account, view keyboard shortcuts, and customize the app's behavior and appearance.
You can access the configuration window by clicking the Stealth Helper icon in your system tray.
In the Account tab, you can:
Logging in is required to enable the screen capture and AI features.
The application will indicate your API status (online/offline) and your login status.
The Hotkeys tab lists all available keyboard shortcuts. Some shortcuts are only available when you are logged in.

The configuration window will automatically hide after a short period of inactivity when you are logged in. You can toggle the visibility of both the configuration and overlay windows using the shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+T on Windows/Linux or Cmd+Shift+T on macOS.
The main functionality of Stealth Helper is accessed via a screen capture hotkey which activates an overlay window where the AI's response will appear.
The overlay window is transparent and click-through by default, so it won’t interrupt your work. You can interact with it using the following hotkeys:

Closing the configuration or overlay windows will not quit the application; it will continue running in the background. To fully close Stealth Helper, use the Quit option from the system tray or the Quit hotkey.
The account management tab includes login, sign-up, and status indicators for API and user authentication. You must be logged in to activate the overlay capture and AI features. The UI provides feedback on login status and supports password resets.
The Hotkey tab in the configuration window displays all available keyboard shortcuts. It allows users to view and remember combinations for capturing screenshots, interacting with the overlay, and managing the app. Shortcuts adapt automatically for macOS or Windows.

The Preferences tab lets you tailor Stealth Helper to your workflow by choosing the AI model, code language, and the overlay’s text and background colors.
After triggering the capture hotkey, Stealth Helper shows a transparent overlay displaying a real-time "Thinking..." status. Once the AI responds, the result—like explanations for code or answers to technical questions—appears in a translucent floating window.
The overlay window is transparent and click-through by default, so it won’t interrupt your work. You can move its position, scroll to browse answers, adjust opacity, and use hotkeys to clear or abort AI responses—designed for stealthy, seamless use.
This message appears when the selected AI model is currently handling too many requests. It's a temporary issue caused by high usage.
No. This is a server-side limitation related to model usage. Your data and account are unaffected.
If your external monitor is connected via a USB docking station using DisplayLink technology, the application window may not appear or render correctly. The application is set to prevent screen recording, screenshots, or live previews, which can interfere with content rendering on virtual displays like DisplayLink.
